What is a Laser
A laser is a beam of heat which is precisely focused. The beam has so much power that it penetrates the surface of the material that it touches like wood/plastic. Remember in our childhood, we use to burn a paper with the help of magnifying glass by focusing a beam under the sun. The same process is being copied in the laser machines nowadays. A high powered beam of heat is generated from the laser tube, which is fitted at the back of laser machine. With the help of a digital file and laser software (driver), we have full control over this beam – the intensity and the movement.
Glass, stone and granite
The laser beam only fractures the top surface but no depth. Technically, this process is called laser etching.
Metals
The laser beam marks the metals in a dark grey/black color. The laser marking is permanent and great for outdoor use.
Plastics
The laser beam evaporates/vaporizes the top surface of all polymers leaving a depth.
Wood
The laser beam burns away the top surface it strikes, leaving a deep engraved area with a changed color. You can smell the internal wood layers’ scent mixed with the burning. Kind of like an air freshener for your space!

How much does it cost?
The cost of laser engraving depends on the time required to engrave your artwork on the laser machine. A small 2″x 2″ design will take less time than a 6″x 6″ artwork. Additional one time setup charges will be added if you have a batch that requires the same work. Please upload your artwork and give us some details to get you our best quote.
